Brass Quintet No. 1
Since I was a horn player for about thirty years, I have always enjoyed writing for brass ensembles of all sizes. I wrote my quintet for my own amusement a few years ago. I called it No. 1 because I hope to write No. 2 sometime.
The outer movements of the work are lively (the first movement is in cut time with the half-note = 132) while the slow movment is blues-like with a light, dancy interruption in the middle.
