In the Penal Colony (one act opera)
In the Penal Colony is a one-act opera based on the story by Franz Kafka.
The singing roles are for tenor and baritone. There are acting roles for two more performers (mute roles).
The opera is Stravinskian in harmonic and melodic language. It is 30 minutes in performance.
