This short work was the result of a request from the Chilean pianist, Carla Hubner, whom I met while I was studying in Buenos Aires. She specialized in performing recent music and now lives in Washington, D.C.
The work is in three short movements, each in a different mood. It is unmeasured and freely atonal. It is not overly difficult, and so it has been used in the statewide recital competitions in Virginia.
This work has not yet been recorded professionally.
