Brass Trio No. 3
The first movement of Brass Trio No. 3 is in a lively, highly rhythmic 2/4.
The second, called "lazy blue" is in a relaxed 9/8 meter. The middle section of this movement picks up the tempo and is in the manner of a syncopated dance.
The composition ends in a rapid 3/8 with occasional changes of meter.
